Octant Drive is a driving data collection app. Driving with Octant Drive provides device GPS location and motion data such as acceleration that can be used to help researchers with city infrastructure monitoring and with advancing the future of mobility.
Each minute you drive with Octant Drive, you earn 1 Active Drive Point. The more points you earn, the more likely you are to be given access to new Octant technology. It is possible to earn these points even by having the Octant Drive app in the background.
We encourage drivers to mount their phones and start Octant Drive before starting a trip. Octant Drive collects data even when it is in the background. We recommend plugging in your phone while driving.
